Intuit Financial Freedom Foundation Develops EITC Tools

Intuit Financial Freedom Foundation has developed tools to assist taxpayers determine if they are eligible for the Earned Income Tax Credit. 

  • The EITC Finder app for iPhone and Android mobile devices is available in both English and Spanish.  It is FREE and available now in your App Store.
  • The EITC Calculator can be used in a smiliar fashion by clicking here to use the EITC Calculator website.

Family Self Sufficiency Project in Charlottesville

Monticello Community Action Agency has announced its fall and winter schedule of the Family Self-Sufficiency Project.  The workshop series of financial education and financial counseling is available at no cost to residents who live in Charlottesville,  and Albemarle, Louisa, Fluvanna and Nelson counties.  You must register.

The National Community Tax Coalition (NCTC) Asset Building Working Group and VITA programs have produced an updated 4th edition to the Resource Guide.  By consulting the guide, interested programs can find descriptions of asset building products and practices, information on successful asset building strategies during tax season and additional resources for supporting their work.
