Making the Link: EITC and VIDA

This Webinar will provide information about the requirements and benefits of the Virginia Individual Development Accounts (VIDA) matched savings program for low-income clients.  An overview of the federal Earned Income Tax Credit will be presented.

Presenters will inform and encourage agencies and EITC coalitions to help their low-income clients "make the link" to a VIDA account when they receive their EITC tax refund.

The State Information Technology Consortium announced a new EITC/VIDA Training Series webinars.  This training series is designed to improve the capacity of Virginia's Community Action Agencies, Departments of Social Services, and EITC coalitions to help Virginia's low-income working families and individuals build their assets.

National Women's Law Center Webinar and Outreach Toolkit

The National Women’s Law Center (NWLC) and the Coalition on Human Needs are hosting a series of free webinars on tax credits for working families. By participating in the webinars, advocates and service providers will learn about tax credits that can help families put money in their pockets, easy ways to include tax credits outreach in their current work, and how to help families find free tax preparation services.
