Asset Building Products and Practices Resource Guide

The National Community Tax Coalition (NCTC) Asset Building Working Group and VITA programs have produced an updated 4th edition to the Resource Guide.  By consulting the guide, interested programs can find descriptions of asset building products and practices, information on successful asset building strategies during tax season and additional resources for supporting their work.

Chesterfield-Colonial Heights DSS Assists Taxpayers

Chesterfield County, Virginia-

"As part of MetroCASH, a regional free tax preparation program, 26 IRS-certified volunteer tax preparers with the Chesterfield-Colonial Heights Department of Social Services helped 194 taxpayers complete and file federal and state returns....."

Tax Credits in the News

Tax Credits for Working Families this week announced that the Connecticut legislature has passed a budget and it includes a proposal to enact a refundable State EITC.
